Also, did you use the "regular" rubberized coating (UT-100) or the "flexible" rubberized coating (UTF-100)? Thanks again for a terrific blog. I refer to it often.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5665070556831726952.post-12256896036808516482014-11-09T15:18:27.560-05:002014-11-09T15:18:27.560-05:00After 6 years and lots of use, it still looks like...After 6 years and lots of use, it still looks like the day we put it down. Well except for maybe a few paint spills and varnish drips. You do have to be careful and not get too thick a build up. I know Charles used something like this over teak decks, but I personally don't recommend just covering teak decks with anything. But that is just my personal preference. If I did not like the teak or it was leaking, I would take it off and redo the decks. If it is not leaking, I would leave it alone. We have a saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it, and have regretted it every time we ignored that. BTW, This stuff is really, really hard to damage. Good luck.Chuck and Susan;https://www.blogger.com/profile/04844233452744671062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5665070556831726952.post-39077145541178031582010-08-18T23:37:50.416-04:002010-08-18T23:37:50.416-04:00Hello,

Will another coat stick to this coat 4 or 5 years down the "river" when it starts looking scruffy or will a total sand off be required? I have a teak deck that is not leaking yet but have concern for the future. Can this product be put on over teak like Charles did on C.C. Ryder? Thank you for your effort and expertise. These decks are notorious for leaking and destroying the deck core materials. A very expensive fix. Window leaks are a common problem, look for water stains on the interior wood around the larger windows and the opening ports. Look for leaks in the overhead liner, etc. These are the most common problems along with rusted steel water and fuel tanks that may be on the verge of failure. Get a good professional surveyor that is familiar with these boats and have a complete engine survey done by a qualified mechanic. Good Luck.
